Athletes that have:
1. Professional Maturity
2. Mental Resilience
3. Emotional Intelligence
4. A High Level of Character & Integrity
Today, professionalism is required more than ever from amateur athletes. This is why developing mental and emotional intelligence is essential. In this era of "pay-to-play" amateur athletics, college coaches simply don’t have the luxury of waiting for athletes to mature. With their jobs on the line, they need players who are already prepared to meet high expectations and contribute immediately. The responsibility falls on the athlete to take their personal growth seriously and align with the demands of college coaches and the programs they aspire to join.
The CBJATHLETE is dedicated to bridging the gap between talent and success by prioritizing mental and emotional training—often the missing link to unlocking an athlete's full potential both on and off the field. By focusing on mental resilience, character development, and the relentless drive to operate at optimal performance, we ensure our athletes not only meet but exceed the expectations of those offering them opportunities to succeed.
Goals for our athletes are to:
1. Be the student, athlete, and person any college program would want to a chance on
2. Be ready to contribute day one at the next level
3. Have the skills and awareness to gain trust from coaches
4. Unlock intangibles that separates them from the competition
5. Create opportunities on and off the field that makes them not expendable

High school athletes have fewer opportunities to play at the next level because of the transfer portal and eligibility changes. Addressing character flaws and maturing issues now is the difference between getting that chance to play in college and keeping it.

Making the decision to enter the transfer portal is a very difficult one. Effectively processing why things did not work out, events that require taking personal responsibility, and understanding where there is room for growth ensures the next stop fulfills your goals.

Today, college programs are facing turnover in rosters every year. The challenge to build team chemistry and buy-in is the difference from having a winning season or one that can go south quickly. Addressing issues that affect professionalism is necessary for every athlete to adopt for personal and team success.
"To create athletes that are bold in their identity, confident in their convictions, and approaches goals and adversity with the humility of purpose."
The CBJAthlete strives everyday for mutual connection between mental and physical ability. The goal is for both to work in perfect union and avoid conflict with one another to maintain the integrity required to face and overcome adversity.

Mental Health Performance is the ability to process personal and professional adversities without sacrificing performing at a high level.

The Importance of Mental Health Performance Training
The first step to gaining any control over mental stumbling blocks is the willingness to embrace honesty and your truth.
The second step is a full assessment of the reality of events and digesting what is true/false, productive/unproductive, and what is or is not valuable. This information enables us to be open to new perspectives and more effective strategies to stay at peak performance.
The third step is transforming our current character into our best self through discovery of identity, purpose, and community. This growth in character increases our awareness and confidence to prepare, confront, and dominate the threats against our performance from adversities we face everyday.
Character & Personal Development is the foundation we build on to reach our best selves. Character is our best self in any event, challenge, or periods of adversity. Personal Development discovers that best self and empowers us to act.

Getting ahead of situations that challenge us is how we ensure that our character will not be negatively impacted. By applying what we learn from both our strengths and weaknesses, the right strategy can be used for a better outcome during confrontation.
How we handle things we cannot control reveals who we really are. Vetting our approach and the decisions behind them, provides clarity for how to develop new habits. Being comfortable in uncontrollable situations gives that power back to us.
The impossible is a breading ground for fear. But it also can be a fertile ground for positive change. Developing character skills that stands firm against relentless opposition opens doors to leadership.
